Employee days

A truly unique way to boost employee engagement while supporting their well-being.

Knight’s Beekeeping offers you and your team the chance to see your very own bees in action. It’s often described as a eureka moment—a fun, hands-on experience that brings you closer to your bees and the stunning natural world they thrive in. This isn’t just any team-building activity. It’s a unique opportunity filled with excitement, learning, laughter, and a real sense of gratitude for nature’s wonders.

We’ll kick things off with a fun ride across the fields, hanging off the truck as we take in the landscape where your hives are located. It’s surprising how many people haven’t actually spent much time in nature—just soaking it all in without any agenda.

Once we get to the apiary, we’ll take a step back and chat about what we’re about to experience, answering any questions you might have. Then it’s time to suit up! You’ll see lots of laughter, selfies, and of course, some spaceman walks as everyone gets into their bee suits. After that, we’ll dive into the world of your bees, opening up the hives and taking you on a fascinating journey through their intricate little universe.

From the honey frames to the nurseries, we’ll guide you layer by layer through the hive, sharing all the facts that make the honey bee (in our humble opinion) the most amazing creature on the planet.

By the end, you’ll walk away not just with new knowledge, but a deeper appreciation for the vital role honey bees play in our world. And to wrap things up, you’ll enjoy a taste of Knight’s wildflower honey on fresh, home-baked bread.

But our Experience Days are about more than just having fun and breaking up the workday—they’re also powerful for well-being. Studies show that beekeeping can have a positive impact on mental health, helping reduce stress, alleviate anxiety, and even support veterans dealing with PTSD.

So, what typically happens?

“Our goal is simple: we want to get you out of your usual routine and into the moment, leaving behind the stress and distractions of the day. Many of our clients come straight from a packed morning of meetings and strategy sessions, but by the end, they’re full of energy and ready to tackle whatever comes next.”

“The morning was amazing! We learnt so much and Martin was so engaging in the way he described everything and we could ask questions of all sorts. It was really lovely to see all the work he’s doing and taste the delicious honey so thank you very much!”
